Bringing light to the news that the OLED panels may have problems we find out that the four major suppliers of OLED panels include Samsung Display Co., LG Display Co., Sharp Corp., and Japan Display Inc. We even get the report that Apple has tied-up with Samsung for OLED technology, the South Korean company itself might not produce enough to meet the demand of Apple. The company Samsung is known to make OLED panel for its own smart phones as but there is no news if they will be able to meet the Apple’s demands.

With the fact that next year it will be Apple’s 10th Anniversary, they have decided to go overboard with regards to the design of Apple iPhone 8. We get the news that this upcoming device is going to have two variants based on the screen size which are going to be 5-inch and 5.8-inch. But according to the reports the fact that Apple is going to use OLED technology, we find out that due to the production shortage of OLED panel Apple will go for it with only one of the model, while for the other variant they would go with LCD. According to a supply chain analyst at HIS Markit , due to the good quality requirement for the latest iPhone 8 it would be very difficult to produce OLED panels as it would not meet up to the supply demands of the company.

The iPhone 8 will be having a 4.7-inch model along with the standard 5.5-inch model , apart from the new 5-inch model as well. We even come to know about the fact that Apple will be working with Biel and Lens Technologies, which is a Chinese company that supplies glass panels to Apple and Samsung. Since we get to know about the production constrain it would be interesting to find out about further updates regarding the OLED panels.
